Looking to buy my first whip

I'm out here in the DMV and I need a car. Where should I go to start? I looked on craiglist and the used cars are either too much or wack. I have a budget of no more then $2,500. Really want to find somethin under $2,000 if i can. Also, what are some good first whips. I don't need anything fancy, just somethin to get me around town.

that's a decent first whip,check the mileage the tires and everything before you cop. Matter of fact if you don't know cars well take a friend or family member that does with you. GOOD LUCK -

You may wanna keep stashing some cash - 2g will only get you something that needs a lot of work. If you can put another 2 with it - you can get something really nice without sittin at home every weekend working on it.

Let us know what you find. I enjoy shopping for cars.. even tho I have 3... i'm into them tho. Try Autotrader.com they are pretty good & you can get specific if you have a tight budget.

? but a down payment 2500 toward a car for like 6000, your payment would be like 150 a month or less, ? you can get like an 04, 05 and your car will most likey last a good five years depending on the type of vechilce, ex. honda or something like that, dont waist your time with a bucket ass car
