distant relatives is the best album across all music genres

Bold statement and definitely a venture that was worthwhile and one in particular that delivered this year, but I don't think I rate it as highly. For instance, I rate How I Got Over above it, as well as Kendrick Lamar's Overly Dedicated, just because they're fresh and bring out something that I'm really feeling in 2010. I really like Distant Relatives and enjoyed seeing them perform it live, but it didn't strike the same chord as the two mentioned.

What other records come close to you?

Can't believe how many people feel Distant Relatives on that level, although I'm a big fan, I'm not it's biggest.

It's one of the best. I think I was digg'n Distant Relatives alot because I'm a huge Nas fan and I was waiting on it. + Marley was
dope on that album with him. They reached far...almost so far I know they lost alot of people on it.

Another one of my favs was The Stimulus Package. I think JakeOne production on that was hot. I'm not a BIG Freeway fan but he was ill on that joint.
So thats another I think was a hot one in 2010

Gotta admit, I've not checked Stimulus Package yet, I will after you stated though, I like what I've heard of JakeOne and I actually like Freeway from his Flipside days....

    Throwback:

You rate it that highly? 9th's production has been lacking to me in recent years..

Yeah i agree i got 3:16 9th Edition & i think his production is better on that album, but i still think Fornever is quality. You got any other Murs? i was thinkin of Downloading that Varsity Blues EP (looked a good concept for a EP). I only got 3:16 and Fornever. Any prefrence on what to get next?

Yeah, to me, some of his best production feel on 3:16, especially Walk Like a Man which is my favourite joint by Murs.

I got Murs for President and Sweet Lord which is another one with 9th joint. To be honest, I try to amass my ears with as much ? as I can, so I've only ever truly bumped 9th Edition from Murs, I've listened to everything else, but that one to me, is just on another level.

I haven't got that EP though, lemme know if it's worth a listen :tu

This tribute video always makes me laugh.

BTW, am I the only one in The Essence anticipating Kid Cudi's sophomore LP?
