Just found out today that he passed away.

He directed "The Emipre Stikes Back" imo the best Star Wars film, along with Never say never again, S*P*Y*S, Up the sandbox, just to name a few.

I memory I'll be watching "The Empire Strikes Back"

And to think, I heard about this just as I was watching the Star Wars marthon on Spike on Sunday night. Sad news.

And I agree that "The Empire Strikes Back" is the best of the Star Wars films.

Yea it's crazy, I didn't even hear it on the news, I found out online. R.I.P., "Empire Strikes Back" came out in 1980 when I was born, it was the highest grossing movie of that year. Cleary it's the most dramatic and deepest aspect of the Star Wars Trilogy. He did an amazing job directing that. He also directed "Robocop 2" which went really hard also. He's a legend just off the fact he did "Empire". R.I.P., thanks for a Legendary Movie Irvin.
