Diary has a couple of more standouts, but As I Am is more playable all the way through and I find myself listening to As I Am more than her other albums. It's my favorite Alicia album. Diary is somewhat boring to me when trying to listen all the way through.
The one thing that I can say about Diary is that I think it represents what is missing in Alicia's sound right now: Hip Hop Soul. The last album totally abandoned that aspect of her music. An Alicia album that featured production from Salaam Remi (Jazmine Sullivan, Chrisette Michele, Anthony Hamilton, and Jamie Foxx all had heat on their albums from Salaam on previous albums), DJ Premier, Mark Batson, Jeff Bhasker and Kanye West would be insane. -

i really liked Diary of Alicia Keys, but As I Am is my everything!!
No One, Lesson Learned, Go Ahead, Tell You Something, The Thing About Love, Sure Looks Good To Me. i can bump that album start to finish and just love every minute of it -

Yeah as i am is easily her best and most complete work... However some of the songs on Diary are her best songs... A couple of really great songs loses to a great album any day though

I'd say Diary but As I am has plenty if jams.....damn I love this woman!!!! Die Swizzy!!!!

Diary is her best album and way better than As I Am. I love her voice being controlled and smooth and it her lyrical game was the best in career there.
