..Which of all the religious texts do you find most believable????
If you had to choose one, and assuming you had read them all, or a few, and had one to pick, that came close to you becoming nearer to "? "???? Before you went on your merry way solo...

None come to mind...

The ones that make no claims of; anything supernatural, anything needing "worship", or anything judging human behavior.
-
Though its not a religion, I'd choose buddhism/taoism.

Afterlife theory ✓
Supernatural concepts ✓
Divine rewards/punishment for human action ✓
Ritual/practices followed to attain a supernatural state of being ✓
So it's not "not a religion". -
I have to go with Buddhist.

Wikipedia says the following calling it a religion and philosophy:
"Buddhism (Pali/Sanskrit: बौद्ध धर्म Buddha Dharma) is a religion and philosophy encompassing a variety of traditions, beliefs and practices, largely based on teachings attributed to Siddhartha Gautama, commonly known as the Buddha (Pāli/Sanskrit "the awakened one")." -

Ah well, call it shitcakes for all I care. -
Can't think of any.
Even if I had to "choose" I'd refuse to follow a book where a being so powerful demands to be worshiped. -

This pretty much.... -
Sounds like we have a winner.
Buddism is more about inner peace, ending suffering, zen, and acknowling karma. Most people (minus the zen) just want peace in their lives anyhow. -
People that are quick to point out buddism is because it's more about self learning then about praying to someone... The buddah, bible, Koran is all philosophy at the end of the day... Buddah seems far less of a religion but it is.
