HD Media Players
Can you all give me some info on media players.
I'm looking to purchase one and have been looking at at WD models.
Anyone have experince with any? What is the best one out there that plays all media types?

You should be good with WD. If you have another option, don't go with anything that doesn't play MKV files.

I mostly watch movies etc. that I have on external HD's thru my PS3. But the PS3 does not play .mkv and some other files. Sometimes, I can only find certain shows in .mkv.
Also, with more BRRips using Cinivia protection, I need something besides a BR player to watch them on. -

mkv2vob is your best friend......converts mkv's so they can be played on ps3 AND can remove ciniva protection(havnt tested that part out) -

But doesn't that require burning to a disc? -
