2000, 2001, 2002 & 2003 were good years in Hip Hop and R&B.

Agreed. I've always said the last good year was '03. Back when spittin a good verse was mainstream friendly. And come to think of it '04 was decent too with Kanye, Beyonce, etc.

Yea. You right. I just thought 2004 probably would've been pushing it.

Yes, a lot of good hip-hop in early 2000 but let's be real...? isn't close as 90s. You have a lot of n!ggas went dumb down music in 2000s and you could tell it's gonna be worst and worst. For an exaplme, . Speakerboxxx / The Love Below went dumb down but sort of good music and not good as in Outkast albums in 90's.

Yeah, I do understand what you said, a lot of good ? in early 2000s but still not good as 90s

Some but not all. Those two albums were great no doubt, but great albums from the early 2000s are so good not only because of the artist but the production as well. 36 Chambers jams but in 2001 most of those tracks sounded dated. And as much as music and trends have changed in the last decade you can pop in the Blueprint and it sounds right at home. That doesn't necessarily make it better but even if you don't like the lyrics as much you can't argue that the music as a whole was just as good as the 90s.

IMO...yall overrate the 90s and heavily criticize the 2000s. It was ? back then too. If you wanna say lyricism began to dip in the 2000s, I can point out how horrible the production was in the 90s.
