Save who won the collabo on the track, its obvious but not the point of this thread.

They own the 2000's right or no?

Cosign t/s. No matter who was hot at any time at least one of these four was right there. Yeah Ja Rule was big in 00-03 but Jay-Z was the man during that time. When Lil Jon took over TI was the biggest name in the streets. So yeah definite cosign.

I cosign this thread...Although there were others who were just as or more dominant, who others have already named..Those four (TI, Kanye, Hova, Wayne) WERE THE MOST CONSISTENT. Every year they made a major impact..Every year.

Pretty much safe. I still feel like that BET rappers of the decade did not even represent the mainstream well and that's sad because thats all they dealt with. Honestly, Drake had no business on that list. He had not even dropped a album and his buzz was not as big as guys like Nelly, Ja Rule, or Bow Wow had at some point.

Nelly, Ja, Bow Wow, and 50 all had some huge stints in the 2000s, got to give them credit also. Funny thing is T.I.supposedly wrote for Bow Wow. Which makes his run even bigger.

Lastly, I know I will catch some flack for this but I think Wayne and Kanye are both overrated compared to T.I. and Jay Z's impact. T.I. put more people on than any of them with being the 1st one on the mainstream with that Trap Muzik movement. Jay made hit after hit. Wayne has inconsistency problems before he dropped Fireman and Go DJ,and if Kanye was not a producer he may not even be on this list, he really is nothing more than the new Dr Dre.

    Jay, Kanye, Eminem, and Pharell.

Wayne only had one big album in that time span, and TI only had two.

The only other MC's I can think of that come close are Outkast because of Stankonia, Speakerboxx/Love Below, Idlewild, and Sir Lucious Leftfoot.

maybe the second half of it. then again 50 had his run, lil jon, ja rule, nelly, eminem, ludacris, throughout that decade bigger than t.i. 50 had bigger run than any of them.

i'd agree if you go from 2005 till 2010 tho.

    in terms of impact

50cent was huge, he was a game changer, on the world stage

he is wack now, but his run and reign was one of the most dominant

obviously he had em and dre to help him, which made life easier.

ti is a better rapper, but his impact was nowhere on the level of 50, even wayne hasnt had that level of impact

em's white fans shifted over to 50 and he also had the hood on lock, until everyone worked out he was a damn fool and left him in droves

What exactly did 50 change? Actually Trap Muzik the whole movement was the only real sustained game changer in the 2000-2010 era.
