I read the story in 2 pages of a magazine. It was a better than the film. -

The film chronicles the true story of Aron Ralston. One of the unique things that really stood out for me was the use of flashback throughout the film. The lengthy cast list may not suggest it, but the film is really just the James Franco show.

i watched this a couple nights ago. GREAT movie. overall very well done. but the movie is much more than dude cuttin his own arm off. its about life, finding your self, loving ur family, the journey or ups and downs of life etc.

127 hours is an interesting proposition for a film. 127 hours seems to take a lot of visual cues of recent documentaries, such as the Zoo and Black Sun. The movie works well, in large part due to James Franco creates a a harrowingly real character.

One of the qualms that I had prior to seeing this film was that because I knew basically all the main plot elements how could I been surprised, This movie is getting the granny apple A it deserves; the combination of great directing, writing, and an amazing performance by James Franco.
