I feel that those who ignore slavery are the ones who are still slaves. meaning those black people who says that they arent african. those who are christians (or muslims). those who are democrats just because they are black. those who still put poison in their hair (or wear fake hair) just because theyre black.

Cool vid. Stevie Wonder said a long time ago on one of his hit songs "if you believe in things you dont understand, you will suffer." people didnt hear that nor peeped the subliminal.

Problem with that Statement is that Africa was a name given by outsiders to people on that land mass. So in essence Black people are not African either going by your contention.

African is too limited a term and it does not describe who you are really. You don't get your identity from a land mass. You get your identity from your characteristics you manifest. There are white people who are African. Using that strain of logic, the Blacks who sold Blacks to Arab and European slave traders, Mbutu, Kwame Nkrumah, and Malcolm X were all the same and worthy of honor.

Blacks are indigenous to nearly every part of the planet, so there really isn't a need to pigeonhole to a particular land mass. Black is a more Universal term, anyway.
