Isn't that what seperates the men from boys Lyrical Content?

Doe't a regular person who Rap's for fun just Rap random things for the sake of it?

Isn't Song Writting, Lyrical Content, what is being said and the message in the Song what makes an Artist good?

Just any Rapper who Rap's with out saying anything just rhyming words

I'm not bigging up any particular 1 Artist but of course aside from Eminem i'm bigging up 2pac, ZRO, Nas, Dead Prez, Joe Budden etc i don't like Joe Budden but can never take away the man crafting Song's saying something

well i can agree here, all that "i'm so lyrical" talk is kinda lame.

When I was working on my MixTape: Chapter I which is hitting the net MID SEPTEMBER I was just going with the mood I was currently in while writing. The next MixTape i am going to take more time working on the lyrics and wanting to make it deeper. I believe lyrics NEED to have meaning and also be very witty But in todays music ? aint thinking about lyrics they want to do what sales so they follow the trend. I hope this all makes sense. I guess there are more rappers than Emcees. Rappers do what ever but an Emcee does more than just write. I think Emcee'ing died in the mid 90's in my opinion and going into the 2000's is when rappers took over. So if you didnt have any controversy behind your music you wasn't hot.........For example lil wayne gets put on this high pedestal because look at this ? ......he puts on tight jeans and people talk about him for months. Every thing he does generates talk. he is like a walking marketing tool......the ? dont talk about ? . i think after the Carter II his lyrics went down hill......idk man im just saying.

Yeah that's what i'm saying a true Lyricist is someone that Writes Song's with meaning but cleverly and covers all the fundementals of a good Song somene that does the Word Play but makes sense covers a topic speaks about things relatable to the listener and expresses their life through words

I mean Recovery is 1 of Eminem's most powerful Album's as far as Message and covering what he been through in his life talking about his struggles on pretty much every track along with The Eminem Show it is his most Introperspective/Personal Album from start to finish

Encore had so many Deep and Personal Song's too

Then of course Lose Yourself and The 8 Mile Soundtrack which came after the Eminem Show on there was Deep too also the solo Song's of Eminem on The Re Up were deep too

But majority of Relapse aside from Beautiful, Deja Vu, Be Careful What You Wish For it was just rhymiing to rhyme not saying anything like you said and on the Bad Meets Evil EP too

So have to correct you on this

yeah i had eminem show when it came out . most of his career means like infinite, his days with rawkus etc and he was rapping just to rap . one or two songs on one or two albums . He not known for his personal tracks he is known for his rapping ability and shockin/obscene content not his cry baby tracks
