Other than slangs and words I have noticed that from watching old movies or old interviews peoples speech is alot different even accent.

It seems people used to talk more clearer and enunciate words instead of speaking fast, like this old motown and soul train interview they spoke differently than people today not the words but also sound .

I think when hip hop came out since it orignated in New York where people talked a bit more faster than other areas than other areas started sounding more street and it morphed into modern day language.

I dont think it was technology because I have heard some older people talk like that,I wasnt alive back in the 1960's to 1980's so I cant see how language changed so I only base it off how I hear it now but will it change in the future like I think people speak ebonics more now than 40 to 50 years ago, maybe they used black english but different from street kids today.
