Following many listens to Undun - INCREDIBLE release - it became apparent that Greg P.O.R.N. was onto something special. I went searching online for him and eventually stumbled upon some information linking him with the Money Making Jam Boys (and of course, Black Thought), who I remember reading about via a blog when they dropped their Prestige Mixtape. I was a fan of Dice Raw from How I Got Over as well as P.O.R.N. somewhat, but I never really listened to them on HIGO and thought wow they can compete with the likes of Thought, despite them fitting into Radio Daze and Walk Alone perfectly.

P.O.R.N's really surprising on Kool On, he really outshines the talent alongside him, which isn't lacking with the likes of Thought and Truck North. Here's his verse:
I’m in the double G, three-piece tux
Screaming dressed to ?
Hope somebody call my bluff
It’s a full house… sipping on a royal flush
Two queens is on my cuffs
Good times is in the cards
Living on borrowed time
I’m paying the extra charge
To feel like something small is worth a hundred large
Swag is on ? , charm is on massage
Wit is on guard, I challenge you to a duel
Who needs a chain when every thought's a jewel
? bless the weirdo when everyone’s a fool
? a genie and three wishes
I just want a bottle, a place to write my novel
I am like heroin to those that hear a rhyme and think
How do you find this upper echelon this time
Let’s toast to better days, a beautiful mind, and a flow that never age

Incredibly nice verse that can be heard here:

After listening to The Prestige: Jam Boy Magic. I think the Money Making Jam Boys have a bright future ahead of them… but to be honest, if Greg can continue to do verses like the one posted above, we've got a serious act on our hands, or rather Thought has.

Has anyone else listened to The Money Making Jam Boys? What did you think?

After a listen, I think the Philly collective are incredible. With Peedi ? and Jazzy Jeff stopping by alongside Thought, they seem to have a huge career ahead of them, yet aren't really mentioned here…

Some tracks from The Prestige:

Getting to know the Gang:

Glad I didn't sleep on these for too long, I knew I should have checked the tape when I read about it months ago, SMH.

Glad to see this gets recognition on here. I thought it was one of the best mixtapes this year all around.

It is an exceptional release, listening to it still.

You know much about each artist in the group? They don't have a wiki page, so I only know bits…

why did this get zero pub when it dropped?
I'mma check out the Prestige right now...

I think I was sleeping on my game, normally I'd have made a thread about it… it was available on some blogs at the time… but I know what you mean…

Let me know what you think, I think they've got loads of potential, especially as it seems Black Thought would be at the helm of anything that they put out!

I've been saying this was a dope tape.

    Good thread.

Dice Raw really impressed me and Black Thought has gotta be a top 10 emcee of all time.

Especially when you factor in how great his live show is.

I dig the group, just downloaded the mixtape yesterday, but i've been watching their freestyle videos for a while now.
They're a very diverse group, I wouldn't expect to see any of them together if i had heard about them separately.

and yeah, P.O.R.N. blew me away on Kool On, which was a surprise cause I usually think he's a little overrated amongst mmjb fans

I haven't really seen peoples thoughts as to MMJB, but I think P.O.R.N's really improved since HIGO. Kool On was definitely one of those verses where you're like '… rewind!'

Definitely going to keep checking for MMJB in the future.
