Well since they put out 1561818 albums, your right not all of it.

thats the point hater. master p had the freedom to put out as many records as he wanted. p said he could drop a record when ever he wanted and put as many tracks on it as he pleased. he didnt need jimmy iovines blessing. can diddy, 50, nas or any of these other commercialized ass ? say that? i think not.

if ? wouldnt spend so much time hating maybe they could learn from each other instead of trying to tear each other down. instead of learning from business men percy miller ? is so full of envy they would rather tear him down, settle for 10-15 points and let whites/jews who couldnt rap a dr. seus book get 85%-90% of the money. crab ass ? . smh at ? crabbing on mlk day

damn homie who the ? are you to take shots at no limit and cash money. master p built a company like no other in the history of the rap game before or since. p had complete control and ownership of no limit. when everyone else has happy to get a production deal with a major and taking upfront cash p took the longterm view, turned down upfront bonuses, and had 100% control of no limit records. while ? like puff was washing andre harrell's car and happy to be arista/clive davis hip hop ? child p stood on his own and pocketed every dime that no limit ever made. he had a pure distribution deal and no white man touched a dime of master p's money.

i cant understand these fake ass east coast hip hop purist ass ? who talk ? about cash money records and ride ? -z and diddy's ? like these corny ass comericialized ass ? didnt spend a decade plus rapping about cars hoes and clothes. ? hatin ass hypocrites. smh
    U mad?
Master P gave a lane for wack ass artist to make noise and started the general decline of hip hop.

2004, right? That was the last year that The East Coast made noise. That was right after Jay retired and everyone tried to get the King of NY, back when it mattered.

    Nas
    Ghostface
    Fab
    Jada
    Cam Ron
    Jim Jones
    Cormega
    Banks
    50
    Ma$e
    Ja Rule (lol)

all them dudes battled it out for the crown, 50 took advantage of it and divided NY Hip Hop, and the South completely taken over in Summer 2005 with Jeezy.

Also don't forget how Fat Joe/Terror Squad had everybody in the summer of '04 goin crzy wit Lean Back

Trust me, there was a lot of gangsta ? going on back then as well. DMX was making millions while barking like a dog n making tracks that make today's trap rappers look soft. I said before that Kanye basically opened the floodgates for ? friendly behavior in this rap ? . His first 2 albums are classic, though.

well yeah obviously but did they lead us in the right direction. There was a huge void after Pac and B.I died people looked up to them for guidence. The reason why I ask this is because some people say No Limit/Cash Money etc would have never started if Pac and Big were alive

The southern region on it's own is too damn big to say that if Pac/Big were alive they would have never started...especially given that both Pac and Big openly ? with southern music and southern rappers...

After Pac and Big died everyone looked up to these two to take the reigns of hip-hop, lead the next generation, set the trends and call out wack ? etc. Well did they do a good job? Can we hold them responsible for being leaders and guiding the general direction of hip-hop?

uh back then we were just checking for dope music ... so with big and pac gone we were just hoping they would continue to consistently drop ill ? .... we didnt look to rappers for swag tips ...... ;)

it blows my mind how these hypocrite ass east ? keep talking down on the south. like ? down south told flavor flav to be a career ? and told dmx to be a ? crackhead or ol' ? bastard to be a ? embarrasement. the south showed you weak ass ? how to get paid and control your own music. if not for jay prince, master p, and rico wade yall coward ass ? would still be rapping for gold chains and addidas. white ppl are still eating on the money yall hoe ass east coast ? got ? out of 30 years ago.

The current state of hip hop is down to us fans, we decide who the top rappers will be (sales wise) when we purchase/dont purchase their albums, Plus alot of the younger generation are being brought up on rappers like drake and nicki minaj so their expectations of quality and tallent are alot lower than us older fans (im 24)
