I agree: The Phantom Menace hate is very undeserved.

I loved this movie; in fact, it turned me on to the Star Wars saga as a whole.

The Darth Maul vs. Obi & Qui-Gon fight HAS to be the GOAT of all the Star Wars fight...that was the only fight where it looked like real prep was put in (other than the Vader/Obi-Won fight at the end of Episode III)

Plus, Duel of the Fates is not to be ? with....

Technically speaking, it was clearly the best fight of the saga. Emotion wise, Sith, Empire and Return of the Jedi final battles were more Epic. But just again techinically and visually, the Darth Maul fight was the best of the series.

Thank you for that. The prequel trilogy sucked horribly. The debate and critiques and arguments of why those films were so ? flawed are irrefutable and have been done to death. George Lucas ? up... end of story. But those guys at RED LETTER MEDIA.com who made them over-an-hour long reviews of the prequel trilogy and its flaws put the nail in the coffin.

I personally think Darth Maul is the sickest Sith next to Vader. He was worth the price of admission alone.

? was G as ? how he was just on the other side of the door and looked up like he knew he was fint to wreck ? . and then when the other end of his lightsaber came on i was through

he was aggressive as ? with his too, grittin his teeth. they shouldnt have killed him that quick. shoulda let him be anakin rival thru all 3 movies and let anakin have to ? him to take his place as darth vader

No but if you can't listen to another persons opinion and respect the person for why he feels the way he feels while backing up his opinion with intelligent details then that makes you ignorant and you shouldn't have a opinion in this thread

Darth Maul's Presence is what made me fall in love with him as character. For all the character flaws from Lucas, he got Maul right. He didn't talk to much, he was mysterious and he was hard as ? . I haven't talk to a Star Wars fan yet that was happy with his death. What does that tell you when the "Bad Guy" dies and fans are sad, that's the Impact Maul had. I know his death heighten the Legend of Old Ben Kenobi but it hurts to know he didn't wreck shop in all 3 films. That would of been ILL seeing an older Anniken fighting Maul. Even this scene though short had a lot of impact and proved Maul was GOAT status as far as Star Wars Characters:

ehhh....the acting in all 3 prequal films were subpar

Let's not act like the original trilogy didn't have cheesy acting, it's just Hayden was horrible, that acting was Disney channel soap opera status. I thought Ewan Mcgregor and Liam Nesson both acted great, to me Hayden acting brought everyone else down. Also I think what "Episode I" represents was a moment in time when All Star Wars Fans were truly one. People were taking off work, people who were kids when the originals dropped were now adults taking their kids. It was just a great moment in Movie history. Regardless if it lived up to the hype or not, "Episode I" had to be the most hyped release in Movie History, everyone in their mom was seeing that movie when it dropped.

What r u babbling about? I said that the review put the nail in the coffin, George Lucas ? up, and that the entire prequel trilogy sucked. Nothing about taking another opinion as your own. If u wanna make a case for episode I NOT sucking be my guest.

Well Looks like "The Phantom Menace" isn't as hated as many think. The 3D re-release has pushed the movie's box office over the original Star Wars for #4 all time in U.S. Box Office History and soon it will be ahead of The Dark Knight as the 10th highest grossing movie ever worldwide and the 11th film to hit 1 Billion at the Box Office. I saw it a few weeks ago. The 3D was decent this was their 1st try at it so I hope it gets better with the future episodes. It's amazing though the most polorizing Star Wars film is the highest grosses of them all. You see the anticapation for this movie is why it's box office is so crazy:
