In uncanny x-men 253 they state she is not a negriod and is caucasion mixed with other races....how did the black comic readers not throw a fit....she was african for the logest.
I know the white boys loved it as she is one of the most popular female characters period and they dont have to feel guilty for loving a black woman anymore.
Hell go to a mortal kombat board and suggest jade is black and watch all the hate and flames you get

? that comic is from 1989....she is black in 2012 and her original origin story had her as being half black anyway.
