I and my colleague at work been exchanging discussions on jazz albums. Dude is deep in that ? . He's older than me anyway.
There's shitloads of albums from that decade I'm just learning about for the very first time.

I think the 70's is when Black Music from Jazz, Blues, Soul, Funk, R&B, Reggae, Funk and Rock N Roll was crossing over into each other lanes and bringing everything under one umbrella..
Trip of this @rip.dilla look at all the artist you listed they cross over and cover many black music genre....Fela was a bad jazz player and afro beat but he did funk music, Bob Marley not only was a dope roots singer but he did soul music in matter of fact The Wailers had Conks and was on that motown tip early in their careers, Minnie Ripperton did Classical, Pop, Gospel and Soul and i can go on and on with the other artist you list but they was blowing down the wall of division. -

But the musicianship of albums I've listened to released in that decade is beautiful -

@rip.dilla yeah the musicianship, the writing, producing and artistry was great in the 70's almost up there with the jazz era from 40's-60's.

there was a lot of Great music coming out of the 70's funk, soul, disco....Bob Marley released the majority of his music in that time...then you had bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Allman Brothers, Led Zeppelin was putting out great music...I really love the Classic Rock of the 70's

70s was definitely the best. The positivity and the innovation in their music in that era remains unmatched to this day.

ima give it to the 90's. every genre was pretty evenly represented not just 1 or 2 like in other decades. everybody had their own lane.
