Digi+Phonics (TDE in-house production team): How come more known rappers are not working with them?

TDE's production team started out with Sounwave, 4th Quarter, DJ Dave. 4th Quarter has not been there for years and DJ Dave stopped making beats until recently.Sometimes they co-produce records and Taebeast and Willie B have both put out instrumental tapes. I think two of them are working on another one together. I want to say Taebeast and DJ Dave, but will have to update that.

Sounwave: Been at TDE from the start. The oldest tenured in-house producer there. Knew Punch and was making beats.He played beats for Dude Dawg and kept coming back until he was given a shot.

Willie B: In-House Producer and rapper. Gave beat cd to Alori Joh (RIP) her boyfriend Ab-Soul heard the beat cd and made some records. Ab-Soul played the beat cd for the other rappers at TDE and Punch asked him to join.

    Other rappers don't work with them because they don't want to work with other rappers. TDE is all in house for now. They should keep it like that for a while.

    I should rephrase this, because they are all working with local California acts.I know acts that Willie B and Taebeast are working with outside of TDE. I meant established acts. Willie B is the latest to join TDE so a lot of his connects were made prior to Ab-Soul hearing his beats and playing them for everybody. Willie B already was making a name by himself and still works with a lot of cats outside of their circle. I meant well-known acts.

    Willie B said he wants to produce for Young Jeezy and Cam'ron, so I know it is not them wanting to just be in-house. Are the industry rappers sleeping on them?

    word thanks for the heads up. wouldn't say their well known, but its good its happening this way. i would hate for TDE to blow up too fast and have them die out even faster. patience is the key, laying down a good foundation
