not my best work, but i'm really trying to shake the cobwebs off...comments appreciated :cool:
he refused to take it too far
our small thing fell too hard
i deserted the thoughts
and the fantasies
the idea that one day
"i'll just pick up and leave"
its amazing how fast we can fall
time flies when ur waiting
for the one text
or one call
he's not always on ur mind
but he fades into the background
you lose em..then he's found
he disappears in front of my eyes
then he's there when i turn around
i feel like i need him, when i don't
when we first met
the feelings hit me so hard
i fell far
a couple 100 miles
to be exact
rewind back
when we first met
such an instant classic
a huge crush turned to something like love
and then suddenly...
the chemistry was melting me
had me striving to be with thee
i felt him feeling me
doesn't get much stronger than that..
i yearned for his smile
just to hear his voice
was enough for awhile
fast forward to the now
and he still loves her..
and i'm still with him
and i don't know how
i feel like a stranger..
walking into this ?
my love stayed
his departed
so quick...
the vibe is so different now
things feeling different now..
i wish so bad that
i could just have you now
but it doesn't work that way..
because your feelings aren't the same
while mine simply stayed..
stubborn, like me....what can i say?
but the devastating truth is,
you'll continue your dreams of her
i'll continue my dreams of you
and i'll remind myself that
"it was all a dream..."
