Lauryn HillVoted for Lauryn. She's overall better than Missy in every respect. The only thing Missy has on her is longevity in that she managed to sustain an active career for nearly a decade. Missy has several critically albums, some classic singles, and definitely made her mark on the game, but Lauryn Hill's impact was bigger.

Another Female and the Reason Why..As far as MCs, MC Lyte takes a title. She had full package - lyrics, flow, longevity, technique, diverse material ranking from conscious to ? rap. Nicki shouldn't even be considered in the poll.
Missy deserves recognition and she has two classics under her belt (Supa Dupa Fly, Da Real World), but she wouldn't be ? without production. Lyrically it was sometimes embarassing listening to her. -
