Alright, it's been 2 years since The ArchAnroid dropped and she's been quiet for a while.
Definitely one of the most bold artists to drop in recent memory. She defies convention but everything makes sense unlike a lot of these other artists who try too hard.

I been ? with her since Idlewild. Vocally, she's really talented. Musically and conceptually she pushes boundaries and is all over the place like a Prince. You can tell she's really influenced by music. Her album was very well put together and cohesive. She has commercial appeal and hit making ability but still has great substance. Not to mention her live performance is crazy. I hope she comes out again before people forget about her but being on Bad Boy makes me uneasy.
Is it a stretch to say she is the best and most versatile artist to drop in the past 5 years?

i've heard some of her music and like it but idk about "the best and most versatile artist to drop in the past 5 years" .....wish she'd change up that dumb hair style of hers every once in a while

Its just a opinion but what she needs to do is sell her story. People only know her because of what she looks like.

She's cool but her music is not as deep as I feel like it should be. She has styles for days and talent for all eternity but she needs more substance or somethingfuckityakneifoidontknow.. I can't put my finger on it.
Erykah Badu's style is just as creative and abstract but the difference between Badu and Monae is that Badu has substance. -

The one thing that eases me about her being on Bad Boy, is that Puff lets her do her thing, and doesn't interject. He respects her creative vision and doesn't appear to try to augment it.
