This cover combined two of my favorite things in comics, the cover swipe and Alex Ross. I like the different perspective used and Supes flippin' the car after he smashed it into the cliffside.
This is just a sexy ass cover I also liked the used of all the COBRA imagery, the Snow Serpent uniform as a rug, Crystal Ball and Firefly on the mantle, and the flames in the shape of the COBRA insigna
As you can see from the spin roll and the slight tear in the cover, this one of the oldest books in my collection. This book, (in mint,) sells for $25. The reason why I don't get a better copy is this was a first Batman book. As with a lot of my early comics, my boy Pig Pen stole this for me from 7Eleven one morning before school. I guess you can say it has a lot of sentimental value. As for the cover, it makes the tragic origins of the Batman legend. It's a sad, yet violent cover as evident by the face shot Joe Chill gave Thomas Wayne. Also, this book contains my absolute favorite panels in comics.
I don't buy variant covers simply because their "variants." I buy the variant because I genuinely like the cover. That was the case of with Action 890. I like the Metropolis skyline in the background and the fact Lex seems like an unassuming businessman in this piece, but we know that this simply one of the most evil mutafuckas on the planet.
Along with Todd McFarlene, Norm Breyfogle's art was one of the first I was immediately able to recognize. Breyfogle was one of a favorite Batman artists and this cover is my favorite on his run on "Tec. This particular piece was also a t-shirt. I wore that damn shirt until the graphic was completely washed off. -

Awwww, ? , this ? did a "Just Ice, "For All The Pioneers, I'm Going Way Back." Y'all ? not knowing about Marvel's "New Universe." Star Brand was the best title and should have been incorporated in the main Marvel Universe after the New Universe folded.

It was. Quasar and The Watcher both held the Star Brand after the New Universe comics ended. -

I didn't see it on the covers website but it was a picture on the back cover of a Deadpool graphic novel.
He was straddling a brain that had Wade written in it and he was stabbing it with a giant syringe.
It was badass as hell, I thought real hard about getting that tattooed on me and I still might. -
