...it's a damn shame really when you think of the people that got in before him
I thought he would have BEEN had one by now
LOS ANGELES – Nobody could say people walk all over Mel Brooks. Until now.
The comedian, actor and producer who gave the world "Blazing Saddles," "Young Frankenstein" and "The Producers" got a star Friday on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Brooks received the 2,406th star during a ceremony in front of the Egyptian Theatre. His son, Max, and friend, Carl Reiner, attended.
Brooks, who's 83, has won Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony awards.
He's working on a musical version of "Blazing Saddles."

He should've been got a star way before everyone in their grandmother got one and took all the meaning out of it.

Floored by this news. I thought he'd had one WAY before now.
The fact that this man, one of the GOAT comedy filmmakers, is only now getting his due when people who don't have half the resume he does got one before him is nothing short of criminal. At least they were good enough not to wait until the man actually died before they gave him his star. -
Man Young Frankestein and Blazing Saddles +GOAT
