So over the years we've seen the Pats cut players who were important to their success pretty much w/o a ? given because they've always had somebody else to replace them however Tom Brady has always seemed safe. Thing is though, at some point Brady got to retire, he's getting older and like it or not he hasn't won a title in going on 10 seasons now. At what point does Brady start to get pushed out the door in New England?

When his arm gets mysteriously cut off.
Brady >>>>>> Mallett -
They'd have replaced him by now if they could. Believe you me they ain't want to pay him 15 mill a year.
It's different with a quarterback cuz if he sucks, you have to have everything else great to hide it. Pats are too weak at other positions to plug in a QB. If a wide receiver don't pan out you can disguise it by getting the rock to others.
Let Brady's numbers fall off even a little bit and that FO gonna find a way to tweak that contract. -
yeah he has to throw double digit INT's and lose games on some Romo ? before they get rid of him...they not only kept him for what he does on the field but them jerseys are still flying off the racks and Kraft is still about that paper at the end of the day

but how much longer is he signed for anyway?....i wonder if he'd get on some Brett Favre flip-floppin diva ? when he gets up there in age
-
Nah I don't think Brady built like that. He'll play til his contract's up them hang it up if his play has diminished. And it no doubt will by the time he's 40

When Brady starts playing like ? . That's not happening right now.

He'll get replaced when he decides to retire, which will be in about 3 years.

This is his last contract.

If Rich Gannon can win a MVP past the age of 40, I see no reason Tom Brady stops being a Patriot until HE decides.

2014 if they do any worse than another AFC Championship game appearance. They'll probably try to Manning him.
And I wouldn't be surprised if requested a trade or release too. Him and his agent know that he could easily get a Flacco-esque contract from some desperate squad for the next 2-3 years barring injury.

this is like the "where does an 800lb gorilla sit?" joke.

What kind of question is this? You can cut anybody as long as Brady is under center the Pats will be in superbowl contention
