Frank Ocean released his debut album Channel Orange in July 2012 to critical & commercial success and as of yesterday, The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has awarded it Gold certification for shipping in excess of 500k copies.
Frank is nominated for six awards at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards including Best New Album and Record of the Year for ‘Thinkin ‘Bout You’. He will also be taking the stage to perform at the ceremony which takes place on February 10 at Staples Center in Los Angeles.

it will be interesting to see if Miguel can make it to gold (270k right now). he doesn't have any gimmick or huge white fanbase

this ? was overrated. Okay cd but the dude ain't nothing special. I heard it all and he deserves to be in the game, but likening him to some of the greats like R Kelly is going waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too far. This dude can barely sing. He has a style, which is hard to come by now days, but his voice, his melodies, and his performances are nothing special. I won't say he's better than Bruno Mars. I'm not saying he can't be great, but for right now he ain't even Maxwell.

I was just listening to the album again last night. Production and lyrics are on point but this dude can't sing for ? to me.
