I know nothing about being baptized but I've heard it awakens something within you. For people on here that have been baptized how did it feel? Did your mind or outlook change from before you were baptized?

Got it when I was infant dont really remember

I started talking in tongues and ? .
But really i didnt go into it with any honest feelings about believing. I did it to not seem like a hellspawn in front of my step dads real christian parents. It was really odd and uncomfortable for me tbh. Step dad has a big family and its my first time meeting them and theres like 30 ? people all at this cabin in minnesota. My step dad's dad is a pastor or preacher or w/e. Thought itd be a good idea to baptize me and my step sisters since we were down there. Everyone gathered by the water and hes all doing this praying ? . Hand all up in my face and ? . Dips me backwards like im a ? dancer and water goes up my nose. I come up coughing and everyones clapping and ? . Felt like i was getting initiated into a cult it was weird for me. -
I think that may be more ppl who were baptized as an adult. I was 10 and had no real idea why I doing it.

Woke up from the Matrix before things progressed that far.
It's about the mind-state you put yourself in before it happens rather than the process itself though. -
@DoUwant2go2Heaven? prolly could tell you............

you are supposed to have 'changed' or become Christian prior to the baptism. Baptism itself doesn't "save" anyone. Dipping into the water is a public profession and a symbolic gesture of your transformation.

So can the mind-frame be achieved without the process or is at part and parcel to it? -

That's interesting. So that means its more of ceremony and the spiritual awakening happens prior. I can understand that. Is it safe to say then that you can have become "saved" and never be baptized (meaning going through the process)? -

yes. baptism is a ritual. not a method of salvation, or access to heaven -

I was baptized as a child.... Maybe 6 or 7 years old... I'm not sure. It was cool, I guess.

lawd gawd jesus at that ?

Most people don't get baptized until you know about sin. Babies get dedicated but its a little different because you don't make your own decisions. I considered myself "saved" before baptism but I had a choice. Sending your child to get dunked in water doesn't change anything because they are not aware of the seriousness decision they are making.

deciding to never be baptized is a surefire way to commit spiritual suicide.
no, salvation doesn't happen before baptism, yes, baptism does save, yes, baptism is necessary. no you can't get to heaven believing you were saved before being baptized. -
Learning Nen and Initiation
A student learning Nen trains to manually open and close their aura nodes so that they can control the flow of their aura. One typically learns this process slowly and gradually through meditation. The second method (colloquially called Initiation or Baptism) is by having one receiving an influx of aura from an experienced user that forces these nodes to open; despite how quickly it works, the method is typically frowned upon due to its danger to the student if the user is inexperienced or has malicious intent. Initiation via physically attacking another with the use of an enhanced aura typically causes permanent disability or death.

is completely pointless aint no such thing as holy water rofl word to Bioshock Infinite.
