I think you are reading too much into this. There are different forms of virtual reality...and i'm not convinced I would rather use Oculus Rift over Illumiroom. Anyway, its fine.
Really, why is that, just curious? I can't see this Illumiroom enhancing the experience much at all. It's really just a novelty. A cool one, but a novelty nonetheless. A VR peripheral would completely change your experience with a game. Imagine playing Skyrim with each. With the IllumiRoom, it's the same game. Now Pair a VR helmet and something like the PS Move setup, and you go from sitting there playing a game to actually feeling like you're inside the game. VR is just that immersive. -
Illumiroom is just a gimmic. It's a damn projector mixed with a tv. My homeboy had illumiroom back in like 06. We used to play games on his projector he got from the ? shop. The gimmic ran out n we realized it sucked.
