"Clapping for the Wrong Reasons" A day in the Life of Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino

Watching it, I picked up Donald questioning his control of his life, his sexuality (reason the story was dropped) the wisdom tooth is a demonstration that he is growing to a man which is something he doesn't want (shower scene with him disappointed) the gold tooth can also show gold digging or cooning and rachetness leaving him.


The whole movie is a respentation of dreams that does not makes since, but is a symbolic reference to someone real life. That's why the director made the film unreasonable and connected the end with the beginning.

Also the Topanga chick was Donald's life as a child. She is the representation of his childhood because it may have been someone he lusted/adored and she was his everything. The lemon scene demonstrated her giving him lemons to show "when life gives u lemons" saying.

Basically his dream is reality mixed with some symbolic deep unconscious thoughts, and questionable secrets (the rubbing butts story).
