what makes it average and not good or great?I was looking forward to watching this but everyone I know who's seen in was underwhelmed with it.

It was just ok. I mean it's just basically a dude who likes to ? people but has a family that he cares about.
The real iceman was a way bigger ? and lied about some of the mob hits he did because he was gonna spend the rest of his life in jail anyways. They make him seem somewhat noble but really he wasn't.
Micheal Shannon's acting was great tho.
The ending was very abrupt. He was just killing people then all of a sudden he ends up getting jammed. -

It's a good mob movie. It's not giving ? Father 1&2 or Good Fellas a run for it's money. But if those are your type of flicks, definitely check this out.
Great job by all actors all around. Loosely based off the true story. I read that some liberties were taken with Kusklinskys(sp?) story, but the results are the same. -
