Amenhotep III was an Egyptian pharaoh who was a prolific builder and a benevolent ruler. His reign lasted almost 40 years, and was both stable and prosperous. He was a brilliant commander who led many campaigns. However, he is best known for the many splendid temples, including the magnificent Luxor Temple, and the large lifelike statues of himself that he built. When he died in 1353 Be, Egypt was at the zenith of its power.

The earliest putative reference to Yahweh in the historical record occurs in a list of Bedouin tribes of the Transjordan made by Amenhotep III.

The name probably originated as an epithet of the ? El, head of the Bronze Age Canaanite pantheon ("El who is present, who makes himself manifest"),[1] and appears to have been unique to Israel and Judah,[2] although a ? Yahweh may have been worshiped south of the Dead Sea at least three centuries before the emergence of Israel .

This is clear proof that Yahweh was 'Black'.
