GTA VI: City Of Paradise? (PS4 & Xbone)

Right off the bat, I'll just tell it like it is: A user on 4Chan came across a meeting that Rockstar had with a Bulgarian-based company called Socialevo Network. They're a marketing firm centered around online and mobile based content engagement and social advertising. The real kicker is that tucked away on Socialevo's site are some files... some very GTA-esque files.

A reader tipped us off to the folder of images and mentioned that the only context was that they were snapped during a meeting between Socialevo and Rockstar. He tried bringing the information to an IGN forum and asked the users to help him “figure out” if the images are attached to something real or if it's an elaborate hoax.

Based on heuristics, this could go either way: Logically, someone working at Socialevo.net could have easily Photoshopped the images and posted them to the company's backend. The sub-folder containing the images, as of the writing of this article, is available on Socialevo's website. There's no reason why we should get any legal notices from someone given that the folder is public and we didn't break any laws clicking on a public link. So really Rockstar, no copyright fines... please?

Working in favor of this potentially being legit is the fact that the meeting supposedly took place on Monday, November 18th , in the middle of the afternoon around 2:35pm. That sort of makes sense.

The fact that the images were uploaded at spaced intervals – with the first image 20 minutes spaced from the rest – does lend itself to more questions than answers.

The next three photos are uploaded within minutes of each other, at 2:54, 2:56 and 2:58. The only thing is, the numbering of the photos seem to indicate that the one taken first is actually the last in the file numbering sequence. So technically, based on the file sequence, the one uploaded last is actually first.

Given the upload times and file sequencing seeming rather odd – not to mention that the main logo of GTA City of Paradise looks Photoshopped to oblivion – it's hard to tell exactly what's going on with the information. The images of Las Vegas also look pretty cheap. However, if this was a concept pitch, realistically a lot of this stuff probably would look cheaply made and tossed together. It wouldn't be until the project management and design phase would we see something a bit more concrete.

If we are to follow the presumption that this is real, one would have to question what is a GTA City of Paradise? And why would someone like Socialevo.net have photos of from this alleged meeting? Technically it could be a marketing strategy being setup for a mobile app of some sort? Could it be a DLC expansion for GTA Online? There's definitely no way that Rockstar is already working on a sixth game when GTA V has yet to launch on PC.

Ultimately, I must say that this information has me stumped. As easy as it is to claim that it's all fake, the fact that it's on a legitimate marketing site lends itself credence that it may not be entirely fake. But again, if it's an employee who frequents 4Chan and wanted to get a rise out of people, this wouldn't be a bad way to do it.

Sadly, I'll chalk this up as a rumor until someone can provide additional information on this stuff.

That could work. Have stereotypical San Francisco with the ? and hippies. Cross the bridge to ghetto ass Oakland. Drive to Silicon Valley where the internet millionaires live. I want a New Orleans version though. Swamp, hood, and voodoo.

It was gahbage tho. ? had to take 3 ramps to get on a roof to do stunts. Miami is more than qualified. But San Andreas upped the fun of maps. Jumping off clifs in 18 wheelers and jumping out and pulling the parachute.

Did you play san andreas? they had frisco and Berkley i think, remember? You had to ? some hippies or some ? . That was telegraph ave where all the hippies be laying out in the streets playing banjos spaced out and ? . L.A is like 7 hours away. On the game it didn't take that long.

sleeping dogs(aka true crime 3) already did this lol.

That would suck because vegas aint ? but a big ass desert. The only thing vegas got going is area 51 and the vegas strip. The 80's vegas strip aint got nothing on today's strip, the strip is like twice the size now too. They already had vegas in san andreas.

    *sigh*

Yeah, you could also say Red Dead Redemption's setting wasn't ? but a "big ass desert" and look at how they killed with that game. With some creativity,1980s mob-run Vegas would be a great setting for R* to work with. And there's surrounding towns and neighborhoods in Vegas just like any other city. It isn't just the strip and desert. If they did it anything like what I imagine, it would be dope as ? . Think about if they used 'Casino' for inspiration.

And nevermind what settings they or someone else already did, who cares? L.A. was already done in San Andreas, L.A. Noire, True Crime: Streets of L.A. and a bunch of other ? but they did it bigger and better in GTA V. I don't see your point with that.

Well it mainly focused on L.A. Frisco, berkley, and vegas were just a bonus. The main problem was they didn't have enough power. ? would be done properly with the power they of the systems now though. I still think they gonna add those areas back in. I can't see them not doing this after all the stuff they crammed into a game running on like half the power they have now.

LOL red dead redemption made sense though, it's the wild wild west. I been to vegas hella times bruh, the towns are all surrounded by a big ass desert. It's pretty much nothing out there but the strip and area 51(which the government says is not there).

This idea of yours would have been good before they made san adreas(90's) or vice city(80's). We off that now, it's time to come to the present. Also with those games they could only do so much with the power they had at the time. As seen with gta 4 they did new york properly. Now they doing L.A the way it should be done. Everybody is waiting for miami to be done some justice now. It would be kinda underwhelming for them to do what you said at this point.

They have a little bit more power to work with on the new systems So GTA 6 in miami is gonna be G.O.A.T. I can just see them making fun of the whole officer ricky thing, boating/flying over to the caribbean islands, drug cartels, miami beach, etc etc.

Bruh... we're talking video games, not some fashion fad. Nobody's "off" anything. If a GTA takes place in the past again and its a great, fun game; I don't see how that would be a problem for any actual gamer. You're saying it's time to come to the present when there's been just as many GTA games in the present (at the time of it's release) as there have been in the past. The last two were in the present, it's not like they've been away from that for a long time.

As far as the tech stuff you said, that's exactly my point. 'Las Venturas' hasn't been done justice either. That being said, GTA isn't only all about just the setting anyway; it never has been. Obviously, it's a big part of it and dictates things like the games atmosphere, soundtrack and feel but it isn't everything. I'm thinking of possible narrative elements and game mechanics as well. ? like buying and running casinos or casino heists, for example. like I said, there's enough surrounding places to drive around and ? around in just like any other city but there's plenty they could do with the main landmarks. You're speaking as if there isn't ? to do on the Strip. With the power these new consoles have, I can see them giving every one if it's establishments detailed interiors and letting the player enter and explore them. Even the desert, itself, can be utilized creatively and Area 51 or Area 69 opens up a lot of dope possibilities. I live in Vegas, there's enough to work with. I know it was different back in the 1970-80's but I'm just throwing that time period out there because it would be more interesting since it was mob-run, at least more openly.

I agree, though, modern day Vice City would be the ? but I doubt they'd do the 'Officer Ricky' thing because they'd probably want him on the soundtrack.

yo, I aint been out there in like 2 years. Is that huge ass mall area with the roller coaster finished yet? The one right before you get to the strip. They had like 6 buildings half way finished and had a huge area blocked off last time I was there.
