The amount of people who get married as teens would sky rocket...as would the numbers of divorces. The lengths of marriages would be so damn short it'd be pointless to even be married probably forcing the law to be done away with.

but...divorce numbers are already high...so why do u think they would increase?

Do u not think this possibly cause people to think more and be more discerning when choosing a partner?

It'd quadruple easily within a few years. Sex is important to people and being sexually compatible with the person you marry is even more important. People start getting married solely for the purpose to have sex whenever they want you end up with either a bunch of divorces once people aren't 17/18 anymore and realize "I don't really like this person" or you'll end up with a society like we had up until about 1970 when divorce made you a social outcast dam near so nobody ever did it people just cheated and stayed in unhappy marriages.

funnt thing is....the same argument could be made about premarital sex causing people to confuse true love/?

    There would be major protests.

? outta here with religion wanting to push their agenda but keep themselves separate from state as well.

These churches need to cough up their share of taxes and pay their dues. If not, ? and keep the cult ? in your circle.

Haute and ms.jones pretty much summed it up.

Assuming the law did pass, people would protest so hard that it would be reversed, unless America suddenly turned into some extreme dictatorship, or a theocracy or something over night.

? will become a lot more popular.

People would be ? and not telling, and some would be caught and killed.

Back alley abortions will be at an all time high.

Std's will be at an all time high, the amount of people with ? and incurable ghonneria will skyrocket, sypillis will make a big comeback.

Overall it will be negative, and will have a bigger affect on the black community since they will likely be targeted more in the attempts to catch people having illegal sex, among other things, typing in a cell phone so I'm keeping it short.

If illegitimate children are the problem it would make more since to simply make it illegal for unmarked couples to have children unless a slipper of permission is given. (And all children must be DNA tested to confirm it is a child if the listed parents)

Death penalty for sex creates more problems than it would solve.

But what about the good that could possibly come. Since it is not a crime in the real world to have premarital sex, people do it freely because there is no fear or consequences...

Murders happen now even though they are a crime. But think of how many more would happen if it weren't? Couldn't the laws in place that deter murder have the same effect on premarital sex? Thus Lowering the number of fatherless children? Also causing people to think more about who they date and take that process seriously?

I think people are being biased....

negative effect. It'll just explode our prison population more than it already is. It's a solution without a problem. If the economic hardship, social marginalization, and potential STD's that come from reckless sex outside of marriage isn't a good enough deterrent, what makes you think jail changes anything? I said, "reckless sex outside of marriage," because I can't think of any other reason why this would even make sense. Safe sex is safe sex regardless of marital status.

Don't necessarily see the good of it. What about broke legitimate families ? They're not going to be a social problem too ? Gonna pass another law to make it illegal for broke people to have kids ?

    Slippery slope...
