Which version is better?
Walk on By
Isaac Hayes
Dionne Warwick
I'm sorry, but Isaac Hayes version ? all over Dionne Warwick's. Hayes version is just so epic and goes so hard. Also, Issac Hayes' version of "Walk on By," is the reason why they make high end sound systems. You have hear this sound until you've heard it on a quality sound system.

The Beatles (performed by Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr
Joe Cocker
I like original because of the happy as vibe that it has, but I have to go with the cover because Cocker's version is more soulful, I also like the background singers and Rex is a sucker for guitar rifts. Though I must say that I didn't know the third line of the hook was, "Oh I get high with a little help from my friends, till I heard the original. When I did hear it, I was trippin my ass off, I was like, did them ? just say, "I get high with little help from my friends?
I Can't Get Next to You
The Temptations
Al Green
I'm ? with Al Green on this because I like horns and the blues vibe that this version has. Also the ? is talking all of this omnipotent ? , but on the album version, he says he's been trying to call ole girl, but he doesn't have her phone number, ? kills me every thing I hear it.
You Can't Hurry Love
The Supremes
Phil Collins
This one is too close to call
I Didn't Mean to Turn You On
Robert Palmer
Cherrelle
I remember when this ? came out we were feeling some kinda way because we thought that Robert Palmer was bitin' off Cherrelle, but as far which version is better, I guess it depends on which one you feel like listening to, though the bass in Palmer version is something serious.
Knockin' on Heaven's Door
Bob Dylan
Gun 'N Roses
Gotta go with G 'N R here. I've always had a thing for Axel scratchy ass voice, and there's Slash. Did you know that Slash isn't a stage name, but a childhood nick name?

damn how old were you then to have feelings about Robert palmer singing didn't mean to turn you on. I was 8 when that song was getting airplay and the Robert palmer version is the only one I remember although I heard the cherelle version later on in life.

Old enough to remember that we had feelings about it./b]

Cherrelle released the song first, then Palmer covered it a year later, however it was a bigger hit for Palmer. Though I'm sure Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis weren't trippin' because they were still getting those publishing checks.
