I used to watch them ? all the time as a kid. Never really understood how ? up they were. I believe that's why they were so comfortable showing them. They knew kids watched and kids wouldn't pick up on the racism.

yeah I remember that one also lol. I remember watching these over my godsisters house(I was 5) . we was all laughing and tripped out on that ? . my brother and the older kids used to play spit(cards)while watching this. hey remember the one when tom and jerry ran into them African pigmies . *licks lips* " UMMMM! BAR -B -CUED CAT!" LOL! the black lady that used to own tom was a trip too. by the time I was in the 5th grade they started replacing her voice with a german woman that ? sucked. the old 1930's woody woodpecker cartoon when he had them sharp teeth were funny and they never did that racist ? . -
The first clip is educational. Contextually it just kept it real; that's how confederates rolled. It even gave a shout out to the emancipation proclamation when Bugs Lincoln started bullying Sam. Didn't shield reality from kids and told them the raw truth from jump. IMO that's a lot healthier than today's political correctness. The watermelon clip though is just blatantly racist.
