Are the Buffalo Bills better off in Toronto

So with the talk about Trump having interest in the Bills the discussion about the future of the team was a small story this week. But listening to the Herd on espn radio there was a debate between different caller and Colin about if the Bill should leave town. I think it would be a good look because moving to a more viable city like Toronto would raise the value of the franchise. Also the city supports all sports well. 2 Recent struggle teams (before this year) Jays and Raptors are not at the bottom of attendance despite being mediocre before this raptors run. Not to mention when the jays were winning back in the 90s that place was packed. Also they have the venue and use it for a bills game every now and then and its been a success.

So what do you guys thinks would the team be better off in Buffalo or Toronto?

Possibly. But winning cures all, rather them stay put and be terrible than go through the trouble of relocating and still be terrible.

But winning wont solve the issue of how low the value of the team is at right now. If you buy the Bills and move them to Toronto the value of the franchise will be higher just because of the value of having the team in a bigger city. I have never heard ? plan a trip to Buffalo on purpose. But Toronto is a city that more and more people from the states visit and Canada holds in high regard. Not to mention you get a new TSN contract for home games and that will give you more racks from a Canadian national broadcast for the entire league.

Financially - for the league it makes sense. But it's a slippery slope that will lead to a team in England that will just end up being moved to the states like the Vancouver Grizzlies after failing miserably.

Canada already has an appetite for what is basically "American Football" (striped footballs and 400 yard fields notwithstanding, lol.)

NFL might as well cash in.

That's what Goodell wants but does L.A. want the Bills? If you do move them to L.A. you'll cut off a lot of long time Bills fans who can't or won't make the trek across the country. Move them to Toronto which is only a few hours drive or less than an hour flying and you'll keep a lot of those fans. <<<In consideration of bills fans in buffalo.

L.A. doesn't even have a stadium to host an NFL team.

They don't need 3 teams in Florida. Miami is not even a sports town, they have trouble drawing fans in all major sports. The Rays have the worst baseball stadium in the league. There is no need for that many pro sports teams in Florida.

Even tho Toronto's population is bigger than Buffalo and their stadium holds about 20,000 less people than the Ralph they still can't sell out those games they play up there.

And the fans that do show up half of them root for the other team. If you listen to the Bills players interviews they all say they don't like playing up there. That city/region has no connection to the team it makes no sense to move them there.

And it's not just Buffalo that supports the team, Bills fans go from here to about Syracuse and even down into Northern PA. That's why NYS can support 3 football teams. The Jets/Giants have the tri state area and we have most of Upstate NY.

Bills fans will not go to Canada to support them up there. That's the reason those games don't sell out.

What most of yall don't understand is how much people here love and support the Bills, cities like Buffalo, Green Bay, and Cleveland have a different relationship with their teams.

I can say I'd be crushed if they moved I don't think I could even watch the NFL anymore it would hurt to much.

Nah, Magic ain't involved anymore last time I checked. He put all his chips on the Dodgers.

Farmer's Insurance got the closest to getting a deal done. That proposal is on its deathbed now tho.

Last news I heard was that the Owner of the Rams bought a lot in burbs *just big enough for a new football stadium in suburban L.A.

A Canadian team would not lead to a team going to england. pro sports have and still do have teams up north like the mlb nba and nhl like you mentioned. But a team in london across the pond will never happen anytime soon as its a completely different issue. Saying a Toronto team will lead to a London team is like saying ice cream is a gateway drug to heroine.

Goodell has already said that he's more interested in a team in England than he is about a team Canada.

As soon as a Canadian team is the least bit successful he'll strong-arm a team in England. Goodell already has a reputation for such fuckery. Don't underestimate his fuckery.

Funding a stadium in LA will be no issue if the nfl decides to put a team there. For years special interest groups have said they would help fund a new stadium should a team more. The bigger issue is getting a team that can move there. If a team said they would move to la tomorrow you would have stadium plans in the works to be built by 2016 in a heartbeat. LA thirsty for football to come back in the NFL form.

But remember he works for the owners. The owners would not approve of that ? by a majority ruling. There is football in canada and its local. Logistically it would not work to have a team there. And what owner is going to say "yeah let me move to England and put my teams travel/negotiating/roster moves at a disadvantage by being 2000 miles from the mainland us. Not to mention what ? gon wanna sign to an English team?

becuase it waters down the sport. i wish the nba had a few less teams it would help the overall product. Same with football cut a few bottom feeders and you would have a better product.

    Teams don't move for fun.

It's almost always due to revenue issues and/or stadium lease/condition issues.

..and/or a boss ass Owner taking the team to the city that he prefers them to be in.

    Thunder the ? up.

My rationale...............more 10/10 dimes in TDot than Buffalo...........unless you want a Big ? Judy with the face of Joe Sun lookin at you in Buffalo.
