Angry Portland fans, wrote Sports Illustrated's Curry Kirkpatrick in 1976, considered Walton "a doped-up, whacked-out, weirdo, ? -loving, acid-freak hippie with lice in his hair and Patty Hearst's phone number in his date book."

Its been a while since i've listened to him so cant remember specifics...he never said a cross thing about a white player, but he would cross over into personal things like (above) callin LJ a dispicable human being, etc.
Basically he was a version of Jim Gray or Joe Buck, where you'd never tell as long as its a passive, quiet ? , but any type of flashy or outspoken black player he hated.
