Patrick J. Adams and Jason Isaacs Join the Cast of Rosemary’s Baby Miniseries
Zoe Saldana’s Rosemary gets a husband and a creepy neighbor.

The cast of the new Rosemary’s Baby mini-series is starting to take shape with the additions of Patrick J. Adams, star of the USA series Suits, and Jason Isaacs of the Harry Potter movies and NBC’s short-lived Awake. Some spoilers below (but only for those who don’t know the plot of one of the most famous films of all time).

NBC previously announced that Zoe Saldana (Star Trek, Avatar and the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy) would star as the titular Rosemary, an expectant mom surrounded by neighbors harboring dark intentions for her unborn child. Adams will play Guy Woodhouse, Rosemary’s husband, and Isaacs will play Roman Castavet, the head warlock.

Adams has some big shoes to fill: as Deadline notes, the role of Guy was memorably originated by John Cassavetes in the 1968 film. No word yet on who’ll follow in the inimitable footsteps of Ruth Gordon as Castavet’s wife in the remake, which is said to hew more closely to the 1967 novel than Roman Polanski’s film adaptation.

Shooting for the four-hour miniseries is expected to begin in Paris soon.
