That depiction ain't as accurate as you think. The traditional jews were a mixture of dark-skin, fair-skin and middle eastern looking ? . They didn't have fresh cuts, perfect edge-ups, hood ? with cornrolls and ? like that, they were typically rugged looking. If you wanna contrast them to todays society they looked like a mixture of brazilians and morrocans. These wiggas got movies about white david, white moses, white jesus but how did a white david have black kids that stem off to Haile Selassie and the rastafarian religion. If you were to get as close to an accurate depiction of Jesus he was similar in features to Haile Selassie because afterall he's a descendant of David.

    rastafarian-haile_selassie_i_coronation_poster1.jpg

Minus the beard because according to Hebrew traditions they didn't grow that ? nor long hair, they all looked alike so Judas had to point him out of a crowd. A lot of prophets were not painted nor in pictures but if you look at all the ? that made an impact in society, they were all brown skin in color and this world has patterns.

Its good that this ? is out there, get a mainstream discussion going, an accurate portayal of Moses would expose a lot of jews.

with that said, Most of em(especially kind David n solomon) look like a bunch of ? . Where are the beards n og robes lol Why they look like they were extras in a 300 movie?

lol you stuck on the white man's idea of how they were dressed

lol I dont even know what the white mans idea is. Im not murican g, where Im from, the prophets are always depicted dark skinned. Just not with shaven chests (no ? ) and without beards n the og king robes.

no beard means no king fam lol. Thats the law.

    Whoa?!

    Hold up.

@RajaMonyet could you go into detail about the underlined?

    Well the Bible says:

Leviticus 19:27 - Do not cut the hair at the sides of your head or clip off the edges of your beard.

So most of the people following those cultural guidelines were probably walking around looking like Osama.

    This is just more speculation

We can't know for certain whether these people looked Arabic, East African, North African, or whatever else

So you're saying they looked like this

    artworks-000034145838-00c8de-t500x500.jpg?30a2558

    moses.jpg?w=500

Let's say for argument' sake that we don't whether these people looked Arabic, East Africa, or North African. What we do know for a fact is that didn't resemble anything like the Renaissance Era models who posed for the portraits or Charlton Heston.

we can be certain they were not white. and it is a good bet they were dark skinned africans like the ppl who lived in Africa since forever..

Many Israelis and Palestinians today look white
It is not impossible for some biblical figures to look like that considering those places are the alleged holy land

    TODAY.
those are not the people who are referenced in the Bible.
the world is mostly brown ppl. One day these attempts to rewrite folklore in the image of lily whites will bite u folks in the ass.

Those people are long dead but 2,000 years is a tiny blip in our history
They did not go from looking like Wesley Snipes to looking like they do now in that time

Other areas referenced in religious texts, like Babylon and Assyria also have a lot of variation in skin tone and other features

There is no way one could say nobody in these texts was "white" with absolute certainty

You do realize that in under 1/4 that time the population of the US went from 100% Native American to mostly White, Black, Asian and "Hispanic" which didn't even exist before then.

    there goes that argument.

Also can someone please explain to this guy why there are so many Israelis that look European.

Probably not. It makes more sense for them to resemble the current Middle Eastern population which has a lot of different ethnic groups in it. Considering that it isn't all Black people over there and there are a lot of Arabs it does not make sense to conclude that the people were without a doubt West African looking.

Black people always going too far. The correct way of dealing with whitewashed history/mythology isn't to blackwash it. While some of the characters were likely black, the average Bible character didn't look like a member the local HBCU sororities and fraternities.

Or Black people can use the story of the Bible to fit their agenda like every other group does.

There are a lot of subconscious positives that come from seeing highly regarded characters resemble your ? structure and skin color. There's a reason why white people try so hard to hide the truth.

The bible itself is actually full of depictions of these large scale migrations. One could almost make the argument that that's the basic theme of the entire old testament.

None of it took place in Europe where white people come from. The whitiest you'll get in that book are a few Greeks and some Romans - everyone else is African or Semitic.

    Song of Solomon 1:5-6 KJV

I am black, but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon. Look not upon me, because I am black, because the sun hath looked upon me: my mother's children were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but mine own vineyard have I not kept.

This Solomon speaking now... Son of David. Great great(idk how many greats) uncle of Jesus

Ancient Mesopotamia was primarily populated by Semites, not whites (I can't believe I have to say that). The Greeks and Romans who are actually European conquered many of those places much later which explains the way some people look today... thousands of years later.
