Officials in North Carolina have arrested five people after discovering that a convicted sex offender's home day care was allegedly a shell for a child porn production operation.

Bailey Joe Mills, 33, was arrested on suspicion of child ? in January, after the parents of a 13-year-old girl found inappropriate Facebook message between Mills and their daughter, WRAL reported.

The resulting investigation found that Mills had been running an unlicensed day care from his home in Sanford, which was actually just a front for producing child porn, Harnett County officials told the Associated Press this week.

Mills had previously been convicted of taking indecent liberties with a child in both 1997 and 2000. He registered as a sex offender, but his name expired from the registry in 2006, according to Dreamin' Demon.

He is currently charged with first-degree ? of a child, first-degree sexual exploitation of a child, statutory ? of a child, first-degree statutory sex offense and indecent liberties with a child, according to WNCN.

Since Mills' arrest in January, four more people have been arrested in connection with the child porn operation, WNCN reports.

Elizabeth Holland Mills, 34, was arrested in January and charged with second-degree sexual exploitation of a child, first-degree statutory sex offense with a child and indecent liberties with a child.

Rashawn Rodriguez Drake Jackson, 20, was arrested in April and charged with first-degree sex offense with a child and felony conspiracy.

Jordan Busse, 29, was arrested in June and charged with soliciting a child by computer for sex and felony conspiracy.

The most recent arrest, 50-year-old Tommy Keith Wall, took place on Tuesday. Wall is charged with first-degree ? of a child, felony conspiracy and first-degree sex offense with a child.
