Aka the month of living like a crackhead.
18 hour days for me this year.Is there anybody who is actually Muslim on here?
Express yourselves, and Ramadan Kareem to those who are taking part.

Unless you can give me some sort of anecdote you may have assembled from the experiences of this situation, you my friend are in danger of earning my 'most useless person I've spoke to' award for the day.

I fast at beginning of every month for 3 days...... from 12 midnight tob6 am.....its easy....just dont be sround food
-
So does your father partake in fasting and this is something you do out of respect or your own initiative?
No disrespect but fasting from 2 in the morning all the way to almost 10 the next evening without food or drink is somewhat harder.

In a nation rife with obesity, outrageous national and personal debt , highest drug use in the world, and a general self destructive culture of overindulgence i think a routine exercise of discipline and restraint should be admired
-
I laugh at this stuff and then they get to my religion and i'm like "heeeyy thats wrong" -

Not so fast. Besides the mental discipline aspect, which is worth it in and of its self, there is very recent evidence that fasting is anything but useless.

ok i can see that real fasting could have some health benefits
but in ramadan you just dont eat during the day and then at night u can eat right?
so iont think that helps your immune system or cell regeneration at all. -
What's the thing that kills most people? Food
Fasting won't ? u if u have no health problems.....it just makes u uncomfortable initially -

I posted this from a more general perspective on fasting, rather than commenting on Ramadan, of which, I know very little.
