Here's how it works. In this thread we will vote and debate who the top 10 NBA players of all time are and eventually conclude with a consensus top 10 by simply voting players in these positions from 1 down to 10. We'll start today with number 1 and work our way down the list. When a player is added to the list I will replace him with another worthy of that slot. You can choose to nominate a player to be added to the mix in your comment.
1.Michael Jordan
2.Kareem Abdul Jabbar
3.Magic Johnson
4.Bill Russell
5.Kobe Bryant
6.Larry Bird
7.Wilt Chamberlain
8.Shaquille O'Neal

While I do agree that Dream was a better player you can't ignore Timmy's resume.. and I know Dream played in the Jordan Era but Timmy had to go thru Kobe and Shaq and then Lebron which is quit impressive. Duncan had a superior supporting cast tho.. it's close. -
Lebron JamesNah. Duncan had better teams around him. Hakeem once had a quadruple double. To me it really ain't close.

Oscar RobertsonCan I change my vote to The Dream since it's obviously not gon happen for Big O?

A prime Hakeem was top 5 of all time, but this ain't only prime. This is resume and longevity also. My nod goes to Timmy.

Oscar RobertsonLebron is probably #9 but I have to respect Oscar's averaging a triple double a season and a double double his whole career. I ain't even see it (didn't see chamberlian and none y'all did either) and know that's crazy. Larry Bird is great, I don't argue that. He's one of the greatest, but I do argue his position on the list. I feel wrong for putting Lebron below Larry, and I know Larry has more rings, but yo
