I think the genre grew up with its fanbase. Cuz after those films the late 90s/early 2000s produced more serious youth-sports films like Hardball, Remember The Titans, O, Friday Night Lights, Gridiron Gang, Coach Carter, etc.

nice thead tho cuz a lot of those movies were classics. The Sandlot is a Top 10 film of mine and one of the better kids movies ever made, it not thee best.

Most of these type of movies go straight to dvd now.

D2 held up ok watched it on netflix....big green didn't hold up.....Seen ladybugs or whatever with johnathan Brandis to...Little Giants haven't re watched that in a decade
