I just realized I never work on making my hands stronger, do you? if so what tips can you give?

You mean your finger strength or tougher skin ?

mainly grip and the hand as a whole.

Deadlift or famerswalk for grip strength

Deadlifts, rack pulls, heavy grips, not using straps or gloves.
