Casting conch: Scarlett Johansson set for Ghost in the Shell remake

I love GITS and I'm interested in a live action version.

My problem is that they will ? up the central theme of the movie and basically just make it a brainless action flick.

GITS is an intelligent flick.

I would like to see Hollywood remake Appleseed too, I think they could do that one well.
