Just speculation, but she was probably one of those anti-obama, tea-party supporters who bought into the hype of her "constitutional rights being taken away" and decided to carry a gun just to exercise her rights.
Anything can happen at any time but, if she truly is your typical suburban soccer mom type.....there wasn't any reason for her to be carrying a gun.
Sad story nonetheless.....in particular for the child and his siblings. -

Guys, that's enough! Guns aren't the problem here. It's the mother's fault. The child had mental health issues. It's walmart fault for not knowing which customers in the store were carrying a gun when they came in! The same thing would have happened if this was a knife! Anything but the gun itself, dammit! This should in no way encourage stricter gun laws - how idiots will try and justify this
