The Vent

You ever stared death down through eyes of the one you love

Felt pain and as if your faith wasn't strong enough to overcome

Mentally depressed on all sides
you look for answers from the one above
While smoking a black, praying, hoping and wishing to the sound of a cricket's chirp

Emotionally physically fatigued
you watch your love one suffer

Can say he did more good than bad

But its the bad you feel that's making things tougher

Worse you feel as though you don't have the strength and begin to think

How does it feel to them?
And they speak with unwavering faith maybe they know there place maybe he knows his fate

Is his spouse gonna be as strong as she is when she's standing over his body at the wake?

Will I be talking, pausing...
too choked up to say something?

How will the others see him
As a man that made mistakes
Changed his fate
But was fatally wounded by the food he ate

Should I listen to the voices in my head?
Am I just as crazy as that other Penn State man?
Damn the sorrows and the pain will engulf you
That's just a symptom that we all go through

And what about that late relationship
Can you really be friends?
After such a deep attachment

Letting go I know
Is the hardest part

Could you imagine being Noah on the Lord's Arc?

Could you imagine being Moses leading your people with ? and a caring heart?

Could you imagine making people laugh to becoming a joke of the past?
Or relic

You fail to connect to them

Human beings
Who hide there problems and drink away there self-esteem
So esteemed full of steam

All sails ahead relinquish the queen
Or your love for her
all Kings end up beheaded

Unless you're wiser than intelligence

Can help others but still in need of your own Reverend
