Marlon aint done nothin serious in almost 20 years. All i see/hear watchin this is them lil scenes on Wayans brothers when him and Shawn were having serious moments. His voice is too distinct.

Marlon's a better actor than mfs give him credit for , but he wasnt right for this role. Pryor had a darkness to him that I think Epps has aswell.

He wasn't bad. Marlon got typecast as a goofy ? , not a FUNNY ? but as a GOOFY ? and it's damn near impossible to take him seriously. He wasn't bad though, not at all.
Which is a shame considering goofy muhfuckas like Jim Carrey can do serious movies and still be taken seriously. -

Or maybe Maron hasnt dont enough roles to help us forget his goofiness. He's a good actor based on WHAT? Requiem for a dream right? Thats FIFTEEN years ago. Fifteen!
Literally the last 3 roles most people remember him from is White Girls, Wayans Bros, and the ngga from Scary Movie. He has a handful of projects in 10 years. You cang go from that to this.
Jim Carey worked up to that serious level with various movies, so did Robin Williams, so did Mike Epps! First Dreamgirls, then a full on dark role with zero humor in Repentance
