First Look At James McAvoy And Daniel Radcliffe In Victor Frankenstein

McAvoy plays the title role alongside Radcliffe as Igor.

The latest Frankenstein project -- Victor Frankenstein -- will hit theaters this fall, and 20th Century Fox is giving us our first glimpse of James McAvoy (X-Men: Days of Future Past) as the mad doctor and Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) as his assistant Igor.

Empire Magazine debuted the behind-the-scenes photos, showing McAvoy and Radcliffe on set sporting some Victorian garb with crew and equipment surrounding them.

Another image of McAvoy decked out in a leather jerkin and goggles can be seen on Empire's website.

This version of the Frankenstein story will focus on Igor's perspective, delving into his back story and friendship with the young medical student, Victor Frankenstein. “As much as the monster is his creation, Igor is his creation as well,” McAvoy told Empire of his character. “That was quite exciting. It’s funny, the script, but also really dark, in a cool way."
