IT Was WrittenI gave you power is one of my favorite tracks of all time. So many Jewels on It Was Written. The Infamous was dope but the production was equal and Nas wins on concepts and lyricism. Even the Mobb Shinned on that album with Live ? Rap. One of their best songs.

Illmatic is the best album ever made.

I can because It Was written was a micro view of the streets and life where illmatic was a macro view. both are dope classic albums in their own right. But illmatic has general statements about life and a young nas really did his thing. However it was written looked at specific deeper micro themes and story's as nas was learning more about life.

That ? is a biproduct of the maturity of nas between illmatic and it was written. Likewise ? like i gave you power and black girl lost are deeper than anything in illmatic. Now you can say the bars and cohesiveness of illmatic was better. But you can't deny nas reached a new level of deph and focus in IWW over Illmatic.
