PlanetSide 2 Closed Beta Hits PS4 January 20th
Options
The PlanetSide 2 Closed Beta for PS4 is starting this month — January 20th, to be exact! The development team has been hard at work refining, optimizing, and creating an amazing console version of PlanetSide 2 on PS4, and we can’t wait to get it into your hands.
We’ll be using this beta period to test our servers, performance, and various other aspects of the game, and we also want you to share constructive feedback on PlanetSide 2.
How does the game look and feel? Is navigating through the menus intuitive and utilizing DualShock 4 in the best way?
All players in the Closed Beta will have access to our special Beta forums, which will be the primary location for development interaction and feedback. We want the massive battles to make your heart pound and adrenaline pump, so share your thoughts with us.
If you haven’t done so already, make sure you opt in by email for a chance to participate in the Closed Beta. You can sign up through our website. To ensure the most positive gameplay experience, we will invite a few thousand players into the Beta at the beginning, followed by waves of players throughout the Closed Beta period. Please note players will be invited in chronological order of when they signed up.
I’m sure there are a lot of questions about the Beta that I can’t answer in this blog post, so check out our FAQ at PlanetSide2.com.
With its massive battles and enormous continents, PlanetSide 2 is a one-of-kind gaming experience, and we are excited to finally bring the world’s largest MMOFPS to PS4 this month.

Will play when it is released. I got it on my PC awhile back but its not a gaming rig and didnt handle it too well. Should be a lot smoother on my ps4 but it was pretty fun.

Even some gaming rigs can't handle it well.
It's a more demanding game than the specs let on.
SMH @ this ? finally coming out.
This was announced before the PS4 launched and was supposed to come out way sooner than it is. -
Already got the pc version
-
I didn't like planet side
The idea is cool, but letting players buy their weapons just creates too much unfair advantage
It's a lot of fun invading territories though -
The official game dropped on PSN anybody playing?
-
It free? just download?

Played for a little bit. Wack that the only server that worked for me was the highly populated server. Had to wait 5 mins in queue. I hate running to the other locations. maps are so big and if you dont catch a ride then its a long walk. Taking me a minute to recognize enemies too. How do you switch from auto to semi auto?

if you playing this and dont got me on ps4 already, add me jsum907 kthx

I played the beta and couldn't figure out what to do. Could hardly find any enemies and when I believe they were controlled by the cpu. Is this worth downloading?

Idk but theres some game breaking ? before the game starts Imo. Once u pick ur planet and the game puts u in the que for 15 minutes Idk why the game wouldnt automatically have an option to visit another less populated planet. Instead the ? really want you to just wait and sit idle 10, 12 minutes smh. Do these ? understand thats how long a typical match takes in an fps. Im not watching a loading screen that long also I got 3 or 4 other fps games I can just hop on and play. Ima give it one more chance and go to a less populated planet off top and see what happens.
